Why it is an Absolute Must to Get Family Holiday Photography

beach-portraitTravelling is quite a lot of fun, isn’t it? You get to see new sights and visit your cherished places, all while having a fun time. When it comes to getting photos on your travels, it can be hard to get great snaps of you with your whole family. And I am here to tell you just why you should get family holiday photography, especially if you are visiting the Brisbane area.

4 Reasons You Should Get Family Holiday Photography

Just what are the reasons for why you should get family holiday photography? Let’s take a look!

  • You Want to be in Your Photos With Your Family

When you’re on holiday, you want to get as many photos as possible, right? This means that you often are the one behind the camera and aren’t in many, if any, photos with your family.

If someone else takes the photos, that means they won’t be in the photos either. This is always tough, but if you get professional family photography done while in Brisbane, you can definitely avoid this problem.

  • You Can Capture the Gorgeous Brisbane Locations Professionally

Brisbane is a gorgeous city here in Australia – I absolutely adore it. And when you get professional family holiday photography, you get the chance to capture the area. As a professional photographer, I know just how to capture you along with the sights perfectly, making the images something you will long be proud of.

  • You Will Have Mementos from Your Stay to Share Back Home

Having mementos of your travels is wonderful, and family holiday photography is a great way to capture great mementos that are one-of-a-kind. When you get professional photos done while out on holiday, you will be able to create memories that you will long cherish. You will also be immensely proud to show these off to the family and friends who did not come along on the trip.

  • You Can Enjoy the Sights Without Being Stuck Behind Your Phone

If you rely on yourself to take the photos while out with your family, you might just realize you spend more time behind your phone than actually enjoying things. Smartphones are wonderful, but they really can detract from the beauty of surrounding areas when you’re constantly taking photos on them.

Getting family holiday photography means that you will be able to enjoy all of the gorgeous elements without being stuck behind that phone.

  • Family Holiday Photography is a Great Way to Have Fun

To ensure that you have a great time with your family, you should get family holiday photography done. This will be the perfect way to laugh and smile as you have fun running around all the locations. You will also find that everyone in your family is perfectly relaxed, which is exactly what you want on holiday.

3 Gorgeous Reasons to Get Family Beach Photography This Year

3 Birdsville Road Trip – Outback Family Photos

We recently took a whirlwind road trip

to Birdsville and it was the perfect opportunity for outback family photos.

It was a spontaneous idea to take advantage of the June school holidays, experience the Outback and witness the desert wildflowers brought to life by the recent rain.

It was absolutely fantastic

we’ve got the bug now and we really look forward to going back. The distance from Brisbane is huge and the country is beautiful as it progresses westward.

My camera was permanently stuck to my hand, part of the time it was overcast and the desert was made up of beautiful pastels. Leaving Birdsville we were astounded to see that it was actually a shorter distance to Adelaide than it was back to Brisbane!

Having never travelled there before

it was very much “feel it out as we go”. There was a few grey skies around and road reports weren’t always the latest so we called the local information centres while we progressed. Sometimes these information centres doubled up as the local library!

Luckily heavy rain stayed away

for most of the trip eastward but there was evidence that rain was around as some of the road trains had orange clay mud caked on them.

Birdsville was cool of a morning, but the days were not too bad. It was fun watching a few flights come into the local airstrip – I LVE planes :)

As something pretty unusual, we even crossed paths with Mick Doohan who head off from the strip with his family.

Even though the kids disapproved, we got up at 4am and drove out to “Little Red” the sand dune just east of the famous “Big Red”. We wanted to experience an outback sunrise and felt this was the perfect place to do it.

We spent the quiet dawn taking LOTS of outback family photos of the kids all rugged up as rain drizzled down in the dim morning light. We weren’t treated to a spectacular red dawn because of overcast conditions, but instead it was delicate and pastel which was awesome also.

Having had a good wet season prior this meant that the desert flowers were beautiful in this soft light, perfectly contrasted with the red sand of the local dunes.

The rain was looming

just as we were heading back so we made a dash for it. Knowing that the unsealed roads in the district are closed when it rains we were mindful that we might get rained in, and we had family portrait sessions booked on our return!

I recommended it highly as an adventure for the family.
